Hi everyone! I am J.D Calison, a writer and rat enthusiast.I have two rats, Kirby and Wispy, and two cats, Pretzel and Jammer, and spend my days trying to teach them all to get along.

Attempting to become friends

When not bothering my pets, I write and read. I'm currently dragging my feet through the final book in The Wheel of Time series, A Memory of Light. I can't bring myself to read it all in one sitting, even though I'm impatient to finish it. It seems like all my favorite book series are ending this year (just finished the last Sookie Stackhouse book, Dead Ever After).
When I'm not reading, I'm usually writing. I tend to write experimental short fiction or work on my fantasy novel.  When I'm not doing that, odds are I'm playing video games, probably my third run through of Skyrim or Dragon Age. I spend an indecent amount of time on Tumblr when I should be doing more productive things (such as homework, job searching, living). Now that it's summer again, I can usually be found outside with a good book or my notebook, all the while complaining about the humidity.
